GOMA is looking for various specialists, including operators and programmers for ready-made, punching and welding robots. GOMA offers training for this combined with certified training in the field of robot programming and robot control. The organization is also looking for machine counters and it has interesting vacancies for young people looking for extra income, BBL students and graduates.
GOMA is one of the fastest growing companies in the east of the Netherlands. The metalworking company therefore has various vacancies. But the greatest demand for professionals is in the field of robotics, due to the increasing use of robots in the automation of the production process. In addition, there appears to be an acute shortage of such professionals throughout the Netherlands due to the lack of training for this. The director of GOMA: “Specialists such as robot programmers and operators are difficult to find because training and teaching materials are still under development. Fortunately, it is now possible to follow a certified training course through Fieldlab Industrial Robotics.”
The Smart Industry Fieldlab Industrial Robotics has as its main goal the training of robot programmers. The Fieldlab IR works together with various educational institutions and companies within Gelderland and Overijssel to address the lack of programmers. Both students (MBO and HBO) and employees from the business world can be trained to work with robots at different levels. The director continues: “We therefore offer training for operators, programmers or engineers via Fieldlab IR. In this way we want to offer employees the opportunity for further specialization.”

Due to the arrival of a new press brake and punch / laser combination with robot control in early 2018, GOMA is looking hard for robot programmers and / or operators. A six-year contract is started, after which a well-established service is offered a permanent contract.
